Wealth, Personal Finance & Money

Christmas is a time for giving. Industry entrepreneurs earn profit by organizing the production and sale of goods and solutions. With sustained focus upon creating excellent content and finding readers for your blog you’ll begin to notice men and women going to your blog and engaging with your content.

If you have an item that was sold as LimitedU” (things that have been restricted by quantity) and has a unique serial quantity – such as 1337, 666, 123 – you will almost always be capable to sell your item for three to 4 instances much more than the lowest asking price tag.

MONEY teen checking accounts are only obtainable online. Les fondamentaux, les gars post- au coefficient que vous voudrez, ça reste du punk hardcore, donc faut que ça jute. This isn’t to say that paper and coins are not the only types of viable money nowadays.

Nick Rowe points out that if a central bank desires to handle the economy’s price tag level, it needn’t concern any actual money—it can just edit the dictionary every single morning, announcing the which means of the word “dollar” or “yen” or “pound” to the public.

Markets and money involve matchmaking (bringing with each other purchaser and seller), trust reduction (trusting in the self-interest rather than in the altruism of acquaintances and strangers), scalable overall performance (via money, a broadly acceptable and reusable medium for counter-efficiency), and high quality information flow (marketplace costs).…

Seven Pointers to Successful Shared Services

IShared service organisations are failing to live up to expectations.  A recent Research Study by Alsbridge plc of nearly fifty global shared service organisations showed that SSCs are not realising their full potential.  In all the categories analysed (Process, Technology, Regulatory, Organisation and Regulatory) average scores ranged from 2.8 to 3.2 out of a maximum of 5 and even organisations that have been in operation for over five years failed to achieve maximum scores. One of the most alarming features is that only a handful of organisations could report that they had zero compliance issue and ensuring regulatory compliance was seen as an ongoing challenge for the SSCs.

So what are some of the key areas in which SSCs falling short?

  • Lack of standardisation and steadfastness to truly transform processes which is impeding processing efficiency.
  • Failure to re-allocate resources.
  • Limitation of scope.  Many organisations still only include selected transactional processing activities in their scope.  For example, only a quarter of our research study respondents have their final statutory accounts produced by the SSC.
  • Business units opting out.
  • Limited investment in technology enablers to automate processes.
  • Simplistic charging mechanisms which tend to be based on a cost allocation calculated on the basis of a specific business unit characteristic (e.g. revenue).
  • Cumbersome SLAs that lack buy in from key stakeholders.
  • Ineffective governance structures.

So, how do you make shared services work?

1). If the benefits of shared services are to be fully realised, it is essential that the shared services part of the operation fits into the overall corporate operation in a seamless way and management focus is maintained.  Ownership by top management of the end to end process is vital and a senior management mandate is essential for ensuring that:

  • Processes are standardised,
  • Business units comply with policies and procedures,
  • Resources are re-allocated,
  • The SSC gets the investment required to automate and truly transform processes.

2). Create a governance structure that encourages open dialogue between the shared service and its customers at all levels; from day to day communications at the production level to strategic discussions at the senior management level.  This is essential for effective decision making and to ensure that issues are resolved rapidly.

3). Invest time in building the relation between the SSC and the retained organisation.  Personal relationships and dependencies are as important here as in any other part of the corporate structure and are key to smooth running and efficient operations.  So, managing the relationship and keeping it healthy is an ongoing requirement.  Recognise that this takes time and effort.  Give the structure of the retained organisation as much focus as you do the new shared service structure.  Get the right people in the right roles in the new organisation (a good Accounts Payable manager does not necessarily make a good Relationship manager!).

4). Strive to Increase the scope of the SSC.  SSCs tend to start with repetitive high volume transactions but as confidence grows and the relationship improves they should move up the value chain …

What To Look For In A Good Nail Salon

When deciding what nail salon to choose it is imperative that you do your research. There is nothing worse that choosing the wrong place and getting a poor manicure or pedicure. The repercussions can range from an ugly manicure or pedicure to a serious infection. Currently localities are requiring more and more that these nail salons be licensed and inspected periodically for compliance with sanitation standards. The fact that using cutting tools on the skin can create an opportunity for infection is the primary concern for lawmakers.

Once you’ve found a licensed nail salon the next step may or may not be the location. Obviously, it needs to be convenient for you patronize, however, that should not be your primary consideration. Driving an extra 30 minutes is not an issue if you’ve found the right place! Once you’ve found the right nail salon you will probably never ever leave them. Your relationship with the manicurist or pedicurist is extremely important and should never be overlooked. Since you will be getting a pedicure and manicure regularly you’ll be spending a lot of time with these people. You must enjoy being with them!

When you enter the nail salon look around. Does it look clean? Does it appear to be sanitary and tidy? These are the first clues to the conscientiousness of the employees and you can expect the same in the work they do for you. If the manicurist or pedicurist is tidy and keeps and clean work station you can expect a professional job. On the other hand, if the area is unkempt and dirty, you can expect that they don’t follow the sanitary guidelines they are supposed to and will put you in jeopardy. You will probably get a sloppy effort at best and they almost inevitably will cut some corners on your pedicure or manicure.

Do they have sample of their work for you to see? Look for photos of happy clients and pictures of the work they’ve done. You may want to look for an internet presence also. If they have spent the time and effort to put together a comprehensive website then you know that they expect to be in business for a while and are trying to build a reputation. If the webpage is just a generic free page you can assume that they are not putting any effort into building a business.

Look for references. Find out what other clients think of them. If they are not very good you know someone is squawking about it somewhere. Check the Better Business Bureau and local commerce sites to find out how viable and legitimate this business truly is. Do they advertise in the yellow pages? If you put their name in an internet search do they come up?

How are you greeted when you walk in the door? Is it a pleasant greeting or are they just assuming that you are there to buy and no further effort is required? Are they trying to earn …

Tar Sand "Geocide" – What Actions Should be Taken to Reduce their Environmental Damage?

History

Oil production in the Alberta tar sands is drastically damaging the Earth through scarring its crust, polluting its waters, and heavily polluting its atmosphere. Many scientists and organizations along with the First Nations chiefs are urging the Government to halt the production of tar sands due to its large environmental damage that contributes to the harming of wildlife and the jeopardy of human health and safety.

Facts

The tar sands are an area containing a vast supply of oil found in the form of tar. Canada’s tar sands are primarily  located in there major reserves: the Athabasca tar sands, the Cold Lake reserves in north-eastern Alberta, and the Peace River deposits located in western Alberta. Together, Canada’s oil sands cover 140000 square kilometres, an area greater than the total land area of England, and have proven to be able to supply 175 billion barrels of oil. Though the tar sands are greatly profitable for British Petroleum and the Canadian Government, the environmental damage is undoubtedly very large and can permanently scar the Earth’s crust as 3350 square kilometres of the tar sands must be obtained by mining the surface of the Earth. Furthermore, the process that refines the oil requires a lot of power and has to be filtered with fresh water which is then contaminated and leached into destructive tailing ponds, a process which has been proven to increase respiratory diseases and cancers in downstream First Nations’ populations.

*In addition, scientists have proven that producing a single barrel of oil from the tar sands produces three times greater gas emissions than a barrel of conventional oil.*

Organizations such as Greenpeace, along with NASA scientists and the First Nations peoples of Canada, strongly urge the Canadian Government to stop the extraction of oil from Alberta’s tar sands as it can stop Canada from reaching its obligations under the international Kyoto protocol and can eventually jeopardize the survival of the human species. Scientists along with Al Gore warn that extraction of oil from Alberta’s tar sands could risk the survival of the human species and unless human kind radically changes from carbon-based fuels, the world may be headed towards Armageddon. Despite the fact that Canada’s tar sand reserves provide 16% of the world’s oil supply, 4 tonnes of landscape must be torn up in order to obtain one barrel of oil, and over 13 million litres of toxic water are being released into the environment by factories. Leading scientists from NASA believe that the federal government should draw policy over water pollution in order to significantly reduce the environmental damage of tar sand extraction, and that it should rely on conventional oil extraction and renewable non-carbon sources instead  Throughout the past several years, the Canadian Government has only invested $1 billion towards creating technologies that are environmentally-friendly and carbon-free such as solar and wind technologies. The Canadian Government would greatly benefit from the development and expansion of renewable energy industries as it could provide even more jobs which could replace …

GAAP vs IFRS – Revenue Recognition

GAAP vs. IFRS Revenue Recognition

GAAP and IFRS are two very different forms of accounting. They have some aspects that are nearly identical, while others are completely different. One example of an aspect that sits more on the different end of the spectrum would be how each accounting method recognizes their revenue. They have some parts that work out the same, but overall, are very different with their rules and regulations on revenue recognition. GAAP and IFRS recognize their revenue in ways that are very different and cause economic transactions that seem similar to be quite different when revenue is recognized.

As we view each of these two different accounting systems, some people may ask why it matters how they relate. Well, that could be answered in a plethora of ways. Mainly, it is to see how distant the two methods are, and see if the world is any closer to harmonizing their accounting methods into one shared method of accounting (Daske). The end goal is mutually agreed to be the convergence of each method, or more so everyone converting to one of the two methods. Where one has the strict guidelines to cause a set track to follow, the other has broad rules but nothing specific for the given industries. These differences cause a lot of debate as to which is better for use, the IFRS system or the US GAAP system.

When looking at GAAP as opposed to IFRS, the biggest difference is the initial way that revenue is broken down into. For GAAP, revenue is either realized or realizable, and then earned.  Revenue under the rules of GAAP should not be recognized until an exchange transaction occurs (PWC). IFRS is broken down into four categories instead. These are sale of goods, rendering of services, others’ use of an entity’s assets, and construction contracts. These are set from two primary standards for revenue transactions (PWC). Overall, the breakdown of revenue in IFRS has broader categories than the GAAP system.

One of the major ways that GAAP and IFRS are different in their revenue recognition would be that GAAP uses a lot of industry specific guidance. GAAP, for example, requires vendor-specific objective evidence, or VSOE, of fair value to determine an estimation of the selling price (PWC). Along with this, IFRS does not have any requirement that can even be related to this regulation of GAAP (PWC). This lack of industry specific requirements shows how IFRS is a broader based system of accounting as opposed to GAAP. This allows for more leeway for the reporting of financial strength through what is considered as revenue.

IFRS has a standard 18 set principles that are applicable to each industry just like the one before. Not only does GAAP have industry specific rules and regulations as stated above, but they even allow exceptions for certain transactions. Along the same lines, they also request additional information from public companies, as stated by the SEC (Bank). This means that GAAP causes more work after …

Marriage Ceremonies for Called Out Ones

The power of tradition is found in the emotions people attach to various acts, symbols or practices.  Traditions handed down from generation to generation bring a sense of continuity.  They bring to mind emotions of past experiences and provide a strong emotional bond across time and distance.  In times of bereavement, traditions can even bring a sense of comfort.  Cultures, and even individual families, have cherished traditions that are valued for their significance.

Traditions bring beauty and meaning to many areas of life.  While religious belief should be founded upon Scripture rather than tradition, there are many other areas in which tradition can greatly enrich the lives of those involved.  A wedding is one rite that has many traditions.

bridal boquetFor couples who wish to establish their marriage on Scripture and Scripture alone, laying aside everything that has overtones of “Babylon,” numerous questions arise.  What is a Biblical wedding ceremony?  Must the wedding take place in a church?  Can it take place in a court of law?  Is it wrong to get a “legal” marriage license, or should one only take vows in front of one’s friends and family?  Does the Bible establish what time of day a wedding should take place?  What about “traditional” wedding attire?  Are Yahuwah’s people to wear wedding rings?

These are all legitimate questions.  Scripture does not provide specific instructions on how a wedding is to be conducted.  However, the principles the Bible gives does provide a basis for answering every question.

Various cultures have different definitions of what constitutes a wedding.  Since Scripture is silent on how to conduct a marriage ceremony, it is perfectly acceptable to incorporate the various traditions your individual culture finds meaningful and beautiful into a wedding.

What joins two individuals together into one married unit is not the location; it is not the flowers, or the clothes, the cake or wedding rings.  It is the vows they take before Yahuwah and the wedding guests who serve as human witnesses to the ceremony.

The joining together of a man and a woman in marriage is often referred to as “holy matrimony.”  It is a sacred relationship that differs from every other friendship or partnership one may have.  At Creation, Yahuwah created bothsexes.  It was in the union of both male and female that the character of Yahuwah was to be revealed to all created beings:

And . . . [Elohim] said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion . . . over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  So . . . [Elohim] created man in his own image, in the image of . . . [Elohim] created he him; male and female created he them.  (Genesis 1:26, 27, KJV, emphasis supplied.)

Marriage is therefore much more than a legal agreement between two parties.  It is a covenant witnessed to and blessed by the Creator.

In the human legal system, marriage is viewed …

Energy Conservation Ideas

Everyone wants to save money.  By using simple energy conservation ideas and investing a little time, you can save a lot of money and help out the environment at the same time.

A lot of people seem to think that conserving energy and going green will require massive lifestyle changes.  Nothing could be further from the truth. In reality you can make as big, or as small, changes as you want.  Either way  you’ll save some money.

I’ve put together a list of some things you can do to cut back on your utility bills by conserving energy, this should give you some ideas of where to start:

1. By lowering the temperature on your thermostat by just a few degrees you can save yourself hundreds of dollars, or more.

If you really want to save money invest in a programmable thermostat.  That way you can set it to lower the temperature, during the winter, when you’re not there or in bed and raise it right before you get home or get up in the morning.

By doing this you don’t have to pay to keep the temperature turned up all day and you don’t have to come home to, or wake up to, a cold house.

2. Tighten up your house and make sure your furnace is running right.  Add caulk, insulation, and new windows and doors, or at least a window insulating kit.

That way your home will keep the cold out and the warm in.

3. Build a wind turbine or solar panels to generate part of your own energy.  Turbines and solar panels make sense for homeowners all over the country since they are cheap to build but they will meet about half of your home’s energy needs.

If energy conservation is on your mind, just use theses suggestions as a way to jump start your savings.  …

Phases In Project Management : Phase II — PLANNING

A. Uses of planning

To direct the people who are workingHelps track how the project is goingGives you an indication on when to correct course when neededDirects how communication flows; with team members and management

B. Identifying the work to be done

Here, you’ll have to be introduced to what’s called WBS.

WBS :  WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE

This is used as a tool to Plan — track and manage a project

How useful is WBS?

Helps estimate time and smaller chunks of workMakes it easier to assign work to team membersBuild check points in your project that allows you to measure progress

There are TWO main tasks involved in the WBS

Summary task; The higher level tasks that summarize the project. These levels depend on the size of the project.Work packages; Which are lowest level tasks

C.  How to build a WBS

The best way is to start from the top levels (Summary task) and work your way down to the bottom.Identify levels of summary tasks. This can be done by breaking work groups down.Begin with the Scope statements and Deliverables.

Trade Show WBS

Note: You will have to break down work to match the frequency of status reports

Generally, most managers shoot for work packages that use 8–80 hours to finish

D. How can you test to verify if you used the right breakdown structure

You will have to answer these very simple questions, and only then would you be able to tell if you did a great job breaking down your work structures.

Is time and cost easy to calculate? Is the status easy to measure at all times? Are tasks duration shorter than what is actually being reported?

It’s also very important to note that some parts of the work might need to be broken into three parts because of more work, but others may need only two steps.

E. Defining Work packages

To make sure your team knows what to do, create work package documents that describe work identified in the WBS in detail.

Details include:

How familiar the work isThe experience of the person to whom the task is assignedIf work is unfamiliar, the manager should turn to team leaders

The SCHEDULE

Here is the place in the project’s life time that will tell you how long the project will last and when you will need the people for the work.

The WBS identifies the work people have to do in the project but it does not tell you how long the work will take.

Do these:

I. Turn the Tasks into schedule

The tasks should be placed in the right sequence order.Specify which task finish first before starting new ones.Note which ones start and finish at the same time.

II. Specify Dependencies

Estimate the time that each task will takeIdentify people on your project team and assign them to task.

To know the task duration, estimate hours and the number of people to do the work

Take into account other constraints such as deadlines.

Follow High Standards of Hygiene with a Hand Held Bidet

Time to say goodbye to messy toilet paper in your bathroom. The best way to follow high standards of hygiene today is to make use of a hand held bidet. These are small sprays which can clean the buttocks and private parts. Other than toilets, bidets can also be used in the showers. The tiny holes which allow water to pass through are most convenient for use in the shower.

With the help of an easy bidet attachment, you can do away with toilet paper. If you choose an electronic bidet, it can provide you with water at a temperature of your choice. The electric bidet will also help keep the toilet seat warm, which is extremely helpful during winters.  You would not want to be greeted by a frozen toilet seat on a cold winter morning now, would you?

Installation of the new electric bidet requires taking out the existing toilet seat. The reason for this is the fitting of the bidet takes place right below the seat. Once done, the seat can be fitted back again. This is the reason that the electric bidet also helps to keep the toilet seat warm, as mentioned above.

The purchase of a bidet is entirely dependent on your budget. If you have a low bidet, then fitting the non-electric or conventional bidet may be a convenient option. On the other hand, fitting an electronic bidet will definitely cost you much more. However, if you do not mind an initial expenditure, then such an attachment will provide you with a lot more comfort than the traditional bidet. It also has other features such as built-in air deodorisers, self-rinsing nozzles and a remote control for temperature.

A portable bidet is one that can be carried with you during outdoor trips. It can fit into a bag of any size. You may not be able to find the bidets installed in every hotel room that you stay in. Once you get into the habit of using the bidet at home, you may feel uncomfortable when it is not available. This is the reason why the portable bidet is highly popular among frequent travellers.

This device is a unique personal hygiene system for people on the move. It is meant to make cleansing more convenient for all. The device also prevents discomforts caused due to infections, itching, haemorrhoids and other such problems. In short, it allows you to be clean and fresh at anytime and anywhere.…

Is MLM Lead System Pro Just Another Scam?

Hey what’s going on? I’m Landon Stewart and I am here to write a short little MLM Lead System Pro Review.

I would like to tell you straight on that I am a member of it, and I am not trying to hide that from you. I am simply here to give you an honest review of the system, so that you can make the most informed decision possible.

Let’s go ahead and get started.

First of all what makes MLM lead System Pro so great?

I would have to say the training. Actually to tell you the truth my favorite part about the system has got to be the training, and my buddies feel the same.

They don’t just list off all of the different types of online marketing and say okay now go out and do it like some systems do. They actually go into great detail on exactly how to market your products a ton of different ways.

You can actually pay the buck to sign up for 14 days and get all of the training that you want during that time. Then before the 14 day period ends you could cancel your subscription. If it were me, I probably wouldn’t do something like that just because that’s not something that a person can respect. But I mean if you don’t have the money to pay for it, then there is nothing that you can do. I understand completely.

If you don’t get the training now you may never get it and may never be able to afford MLM Lead System Pro.

I also like the lead capture pages, however I do think that they need to have a little bit more variety in the pages. Pretty much every single on of them looks identical, which I’m not going to lie, it can make me a bit mad at times.

There are some minor flaws with the lead capture pages, however I do like certain aspects. I like the fact that you can actually create as many as you want.

That literally saves me an hour or two every single day because I do make a completely new lead capture page for every single one of ads. That will save me a lot of time and money in the long run.

I think that they are now starting to get some variety, and I do expect good things from them in the future.

That’s really all that I think needs a little bit of fixing within the system.

Not only is there fantastic training in the backoffice, but they actually have webinars every single Wednesday night that are jam packed with information. Then on Thursday nights Cedrick Harris gets on and does live conference calls, which is something new and exciting.
